Any complex device or project will typically have a need for some type of harnessing, connecting signals and power between various PCB's, power supplies, loads, etc. These are a few examples of harness drawings I have created.
Harness drawings fulfill the basic need for accurate description of the wiring within a device or system. From these drawings come the details required to actually fabricate and use the harness: Bills Of Materials for procurement, a cut list and assembly drawings for the manufacturing personnel, and electrical schematics for technicians and installers.
